Certain nights of the week, Fred's Cafe features special themes, while weekend nights are reserved for live music and patio dancing. Authentic, mile-high hamburgers are the cafe's claim to fame. Great food

A few friends recommended Fred's to us. I ordered the cheesesteak sandwich (which they just brought back to the menu). The meat was so flavorful and tender- absolutely fantastic sandwich! The portions are fairly large, so sharing is a good option.

Fred's is a Fort Worth icon with great food, atmosphere and staff! I recommend the original location. Parking is not always ideal, but it's worth the search.

Tips about this business (5) view all

In ShortInside a 70's style dining area with gold booths and outside on the expansive patio tabbed "The Fort", customers enjoy some serious burgers at Fred's Texas Café. The "Fredburger" is a true belt-buster at a half-pound of choice USDA ground, while intrepid types can upgrade to "The Big Fred" at three-fourths of a pound. Specialty burgers include the spicy "Diablo Burger", a bacon mushroom burger and the bleu cheese burger. Everything comes with an ample side of fries.

Where to Sit: "The Fort" is one of the most unique and well-known patio dining experiences in Ft. Worth and is available for rental.
