On my initial visit I found Dr. Velsmid to be patient, empathetic and thorough. He was reassuring and positive. I have a host of issues and concerns and the doctor was curious about each and the relationship of each tobone another and to my total wellbeing.

Generally I have liked him since he cared for others in my family, but he left my father without diabetes medicine for over a week before refilling his prescription. The office is also giving us the runaround and office staff is not professional when we call. Test results have gone 2 weeks without being reported, which is not acceptable.

I find Dr. Velsmid tenacious in trying to find out what's wrong with me in any given situation. He will bend over backwards to find a way to help me get better. He listens, and works with me which is very refreshing. This gives me confidence in my physician and helps me be a part of the process. Kudos to Dr. Velsmid for his insight, compassion and training.

I personally did not care for this Dr. I don't want to bash him but I promise I will never go back to him. Waste of tome, money and being sick for another 7 because of his lack of knowledge about my health.
