In it's place is a new restaurant known as "Brews 'n Views." Good food, good beer and incredible views of the Kennebec River! Be entertained by the jumping sturgeon as you wine and dine! My ratings below are for Brews 'n Views.

Closed, but not missed

Went out of business several years ago. The food was mediocre at best. The owner appeared to go out of her way to annoy and alienate her customers. Good riddance.

The owner of Francesca's suffered some serious health problems in the Spring of 2013.
They were able to keep the reataurant open for a while.... but, according to the owner's husband, have closed the restaurant effective June 30, 2013.
Nice people -- too bad they couldn't make a go of it in Hallowell's tough restaurant market....

I also went to this place for valentines day with my wife. I had veal saltimbocca and she had the pork chop with peach risotto. The veal was perfect the flavor was so good I ate all the spaghetti ...
