The name is derived from the vast collection of plates from around the world that line the walls. That and other memorabilia, as well as a good menu of sandwiches and other light fare, give the Saucer a quaint pub feel. But make no mistake, this is a beer joint. With 85 drafts flowing from taps and another 130 in bottles, you could make a career out of this place. For a quick primer, try a...

Tuesday is singer-songwriter night, an open mike for musicians. Wednesday is Brewery Night (buy the featured beer, keep the glass). On Sundays, Texas brews are only $2.50 per pint.
The Scene More like a trendy San Francisco pub than a Houston hang, it exudes aggressive-yet-genuine cool. Belly up to a long bar, nuzzle against a table, nestle on a comfy couch or perch upstairs in the Pub of Love. Pierced and dreadlocked bohemians recline comfortably upon weathered sofas, while buttoned-down frat alumni take to the tables, all in peaceful coexistence. The...

Still not sure - then simply request a quick sample. To be...

I have recently fallen in love with beer and can't get enough! Flying Saucer has more beers than you can imagine. There are a few good ones they don't carry, such as Hoegarden, due to the distributers they use, but noone can beat them in selection. Everyday there is a $2.75 Fire Sale. On Thursday it is Tub 'O Mystery. This is cool because it essentially forces you to try something new. If you...
