very poor customer service

bought pavers from this company ( 8 pallets) 3 pallet short, said they would deliver Monday but truck broke down, said they would deliver Tues 10am, no show, said they would deliver Wed, no show, kept asking, office person became very angry, then said cannot give time, tried to speak to owner would not give his mobile number. Thursday no show office lady said she would gwt back to us, never has. This has been a nighhtmare, as we are halfway through our project, contractors doing the work have left. We ordered the paver 8 weeks ago and as of the 27th Jume no pavers. What can you! I have never seen such poor service,

bad pavers purchased

I bought 1000 sq ft of pavers from this guy in 2012. I somehow got his number through one of his postings on craigslist. He advertised low prices on pavers so i thought i would go for it-- after all, it is only stone/ concrete right? NO....

I looked at the pavers in his yard and they looked ok. I could not see the middle and bottom layers though-- only the top two or so. I picked about 7 skids and had them delivered, all in I saved quite a few dollars. BUT, the pavers in the middle and bottom were not new and were returned (not stacked right) for obvious reasons:

***broken and cracked (least of problems)
***discolored
**************** EXTREME EFFORVESCENCE *****************
(a white mineral deposit that a 3000lb pressure washer cannot remove.... The literature suggests this is a manufacturer defect though it occurs naturally also....)

A condition brought on by factory defective pavers if you read the literature.....

I bought defective, returned, crack, broken, discolored, and dirty pavers... I thought they were new....

If i could do this again I would have gone elsewhere and paid extra.....

Be very careful and do thorough research. I wanted a stacked stone and areas of the work look stacked while other areas you see pretty nice size gaps between stone as well as mortar between the joints and on many of the stones. I failed to do my research, didn't get references and trusted my contractor to bring in a good masonry. The difference between a good masonry and bad is how messy...
