Focusing on a northwestern American cuisine with a menu dominated by seafood, this is a fine dining restaurant. Expect the average entrée to cost roughly $20 to $30, and dress formal -- jacket is required.

The Scene Canestaro's is mostly known as a popular takeout option for neighborhood students and professionals (and the odd Red Sox player). But it also offers a pair of comfy dining environments (an expansive sidewalk patio, and an attractive, sunny dining room) in which to enjoy its huge pasta dishes and homemade desserts. In Short Wannabe expats and Italian food aficionados sit at the smattering of tables along the Sorrento's east sidewalk, safely protected from the elements by a cadre of patio umbrellas and heat lamps. The traditional menu includes a Salumi antipasto platter, grilled striped bass with Sicilian lemon butter sauce for two and lemon sage flan for dessert. Like at the adjacent Hunt Club,... more

Cons: The garlic bread they brought out was cold.... more

Just steps from Fenway Park is A GEM OF A PLACE! Canestaro, I have loved it for years, but am surprised that some people still haven't discovered it. It's just around the corner from Fenway Park on Peterborough St (where Park Drive starts). They have a nice dining room, small bar & a great outdoor patio, plus a parking lot in the back. The food is wonderful -- great pastas and, I would... more

I read an article in seattle magazine featuring up and coming places in seattle. The fireside Room in the Hilton was listed. First off this place has been here for quite some time and cudos to them for trying to change the image by adding a happy hour to get a younger crowd in. Secondly if you want to have people come in for a happy hour perhaps it would be best if you had specific menus for... more
