Fin Restaurant Review

The whimsical yet elegant Fin offers an extensive menu of contemporary Chinese seafood to satisfy every taste. The aquatic setting with sphere-shaped glass curtains hanging the length of the room creates a cozy, private feel. The kitchen presents innovative dishes that begin with appetizers such as steamed chicken and barbecued pork, and a shrimp and scallop lettuce wrap with pine nuts. We like...

Bubbles, bubbles, and more bubbles dangle from the ceilings of this Adam Tihany-designed dining room. Adventurous live-fish entrees are an acquired taste, so opt for the barbecued duck or shrimp toasts, all of which are served on super-fancy Bernardaud plates specially made for the restaurant.

Elegant and decorous, perhaps a little higher on style (love the glass ball curtains, evocative of bubbles rising in water) than on substance, though that may just be our reaction to the prices, especially when you see how cheap dim sum is in other (admittedly, much less convenient) parts of town. Still, the quiet flourish of ritual that accompanies course presentation makes for a peaceful...

Try the deep fried Chilean sea bass.read full review »

While the fish is fresh - there was little creativity in the preparation. The entrees are good, but predictible. Maybe I have come to expect too much from the many fabulous restaurants in Las Vegas, but this one held no 'pleasant surprises' but was perfectly acceptable.

great food

Great!

The food was really good but pretty standard chinese (think take-out). But their cocktails?! UNREALLLL. Their dragonfruit mojito thingy is possibly the most delicious thing I had the whole time I was in Vegas. Their servers are really funny and on top of refilling your water every time you take a sip. I guess so you don't go thirsty in the desert. I'd go back just for that one cocktail!!

Fin is The Mirage's Chinese cuisine offering, providing contemporary Asian dishes in a central strip location. The menu features fusion dishes, Hong Kong style items, and even live fish and seafood made to order. Try wok-fried lobster, Cantonese-style crispy chicken, abalone cooked in a clay pot and more.

The recent addition of Fin to the dining lineup at the evolving Mirage resort sets a new standard in fine Asian cuisine in Las Vegas. A highly refined menu such as Vietnamese-style noodle soups or sushi as light lunch options. Other delicacies include Abalone, Pan-Fried Goose Liver and rare Crystal Crab, all of which are served in a serene, classy dining room augmented by rich wood tones and...
