Family Owned and Operated for Over 35 Years
Our story began in 1971 when Adam Piper started his career as an auto body repairman. In 1979, after years of improving his expertise and craftsmanship in the field, Adam purchased a small four-man shop in Mountain View, CA: FCC Auto Body. This small shop would eventually become FCC Collision Centers by 2005. Adam's strong commitment to treating customers as family remains a cornerstone of the business.
As sales increased and the company grew, FCC Auto Body expanded to the current site in Mountain View in 1987. Successful business management and local leadership roles in the industry helped Adam further expand to a second shop in Milpitas in 1995.
A strong commitment to high-quality service, along with Adam’s dedication to training staff and technicians in the latest equipment and techniques proved to be the best foundation for FCC Auto Body’s continued growth.
Adam’s sons, Matt and Jason, joined him in the collision repair industry in 1995 and 1997. Sharing their father’s entrepreneurial spirit, both Matt and Jason were motivated to become part of the legacy of pride, quality craftsmanship and customer service that Adam had built over the years.
In 2005, Adam and his sons became partners in the new and updated collision repair facilities known as FCC COLLISION CENTERS, with Matt managing FCC COLLSION CENTERS-Mountain View and Jason managing FCC COLLISION CENTERS-Milpitas.
Today, FCC COLLISION CENTERS thrive on the Piper family standard for customer service and quality repair that has led to industry leadership in the field. The creative ability of the team and continued success in the collision repair industry allowed them to add a third shop in Sunnyvale in 2011. The three shops are successful as a result of a strong core value of consistent and reliable teamwork, the secret to FCC COLLISION CENTERS’ high customer satisfaction scores. The Piper family owners, along with each employee at all three locations, work together as a team dedicated to quality repair, reliability and each customer’s satisfaction.
Biography: Adam has been a member of the Santa Clara County Chapter of the California Auto Body Association Board of Directors since 1983. His continuous service as a Board Member included five years as Chapter President. In addition, Adam also served as Committee Co-Chair of the then newly formed Definitions Committee for the Collision Industry Conference in 1994-96.
Matt and Jason Piper, Adam’s sons, joined the family collision repair business in the early 1990s, bringing Adam’s philosophy of unmatched family care and craftsmanship to the business. Adam sold the original FCC Auto Body, Inc. in 1997, but re-entered the auto repair business, along with his sons, Matt and Jason, as managers and partners, in 2005.
Adam, Matt and Jason called the new businesses, FCC COLLISION CENTERS, and together quickly re-established their unmatched reputation for quality collision repair and customer service in the Mountain View and Milpitas markets. While re-connecting with and adding to their loyal customer base, the businesses became successful enough to expand to a third location in the fall of 2011, FCC COLLISION CENTERS-Sunnyvale.
Matt and Jason are now the site operators of the shops, while Adam handles the marketing. All three continue to ensure that FCC COLLISION CENTERS maintains memberships in the California Auto Body Association, The Society of Collision Repair Specialists, The National Federation of Independent Businesses and the Better Business Bureau. In addition, all locations are ICAR GOLD certified, and are also Verifacts VQ Medallion shops. These achievements mean that all personnel, management and technicians, complete classes and testing in auto body repair, paint and management. Management also requires all personnel to enroll in any workshops or classes offered by original manufacturers or auto paint companies. These performance standards assure our customers that our staff’s training is constantly up to date with the latest collision repair industry and original manufacturers’ standards.
The father and sons team looks forward to the opportunity to grow the family business with future plans to expand to five different locations.
The long-term goal for the company owners is to ensure that FCC COLLISION CENTERS will thrive for several more generations, while continuing on as the standard bearer for quality auto body repair and excellent customer satisfaction throughout the Bay Area.
