Kevin Klause (formerly of the White Dog Café), James Barrett and Wendy Smith Born of Metropolitan Bakery fame have fashioned a light, bright restaurant dedicated to serving good tasting food that utilizes local products. The emphasis is on fresh, seasonal ingredients. Salads are first-rate, especially the crabmeat and Asian pear in a lemon-mint dressing, and the beets and kale with veggie...

Fresh baked bread so good it would make any carb counter reconsider.

In Short
With well-worn hardwood floors, the rustic look of this bakery will lead you to think people in the neighborhood have been coming here for generations. With over a dozen...

Local seasonal fare breathes fresh air into this modern, cozy, socially-minded Old City bistro.

In Short
Primary colors, soft indie rock and Buddha murals make this setting as serene as a holistic spa--one that serves champagne cocktails and eggplant cannolini. Metropolitan Bakery...

Went with family on a Sunday afternoon. Very impressed with the menu. Something there for any one. From Breakfast to dinner. We all had something different and came away full and happy. Prices were very reasonable. All in all a great place to eat.

My mom and I split a vegetarian entree - it was an eggplant cannelloni- the eggplant was tasteless and the dish was cold. Our appetizer of soft cheese on bread was stale and bland. The shrimp appetizer with yogurt, veggies and grains was very good...and colorful. My mom's hot toddy was delicious, made with tea, whiskey, lemon and honey. My husband liked his tilapia and potato dish, but I tasted...

I’m not a Sunday brunch fan, but that was the best time for a meal before attending a Philly Pops concert. Now that I’ve eaten at Farmicia, I might change my mind about brunch. To start, they offered half price alcoholic drinks between 11 and...1 on Sunday, and I had a really well prepared sangria as did another member of my group of 3. I ordered the Brie/mushroom/spinach omelette, which was...

We had such a delicious meal

We had such a delicious meal at Famicia! We originally wanted to go to Vedge since most people in our group are vegetarians but they were entirely booked. I’m so glad we went to Farmicia! All the food was terrific and everyone in our group...- kids, teens and adults- were happy. There are vegetarian and vegan options but plenty of non-vegetarian food also. Each dish we had was so good. Ambiance...

We made reservations for 2 pm for a party of 5 and waited 10 minutes to be seated which was fine. The interior was was nice and cozy. Once seated, the service very slow from the beginning and our server had no personality. Without going...into a play by play, It was 1 hour and 20 minutes from the time seated until we were served our food. Drinks: our group loved the passion fruit Sangria if...
