This was my 2nd time coming to this restaurant, but my first time to dinner. We went before a show at HP Pavilion, and we definitely will be coming back. They were very accomodating to our time schedule to be out to make it to our show. The décor of the restaurant was very modern and sexy; deep hues, dark wood. The best thing was that the chef came out and actually spoke to us to see how our meal was going. He also brought out a new item he was working on for some feedback. That personal touch was something you just dont see these days. everything was timed perfectly, and well presented. An added bonus was that they validated parking too. All in all, a great experience.
I saw on their Facebook, that they were offering a new happy hour menu, so I gathered some friends to go check it out. The bar was full, so we grabbed a seat in their lounge area.
Great price points on all of the food, with all items being either $5, $4 or $3. We opted to share a mix of items. Carolina pulled pork sliders(great flavor!), spicy chicken drummettes(my favortie item, meat fell right off the bone) for $4 each. And the Fahenheit fries (mix of regular potato and sweet potato) and chipotle mac and cheese (nice little kick) for $3 each.
Generous portions of each, and our server was on point.
They also offer half off drink specials on beers, well drinks, their specialty cocktail list and house sangria. We stuck to beers, but the specialty cocktail list looked tempting.
This was the first time I had ever been to Fahrenheit, and I'll definitely be going back. Everything brought to our table was well prepared and beautifully presented. I really love the organic and local aspect of their menu. The price points were very reasonable as well. I plan to go back and sample more of the menu over the next few months. My friend has special diet requirements and her meal was adjusted to meet her needs. I can not recommend highly enough, as I look forward to returning.
Fahrenheit is a pretty decent place to lounge around and have some fusion and drinks. The decor is nice but I have to agree that if you're here to dance there's not much to work with. Out of most downtown San Jose, Fahrenheit is probably one of the more classier places to visit. The food is surprisingly not bad. The menu of small plates is pretty good. The drinks are overpriced but they definitely are worth it. I HIGHLY recommend the mojitos! Do check out that happy hour! (Edited May 08, 2008)
