I drive 45 miles twice a month to buy their cheescake. Just try it and see why, and the neighborhood is a great place to walk down Court St. for some of the best Pizza slices great afternoon visit to take out of town guest who would never have ventured out of the typical tourist areas of Manhattan.

I love Monteleone's. Got to know it when I was spending a lot of time with clients in the Carrol Gardens (South Brooklyn) neighborhood. As one who doesn't have a particularly strong sweet-tooth, this place awakened me to the wonders of an old-world tradition pasticceria.
