The Scene Located on the waterfront in the East Bay, this hotel opened in 2003. With its gray clapboard, the luxury business lodging looks as if it belongs in New England. It is minutes from Jack London Square, home to restaurants, shops and the largest bookstore in Northern California. It offers a nice alternative to the larger convention properties in the area. Beautiful views on the "waterfront" side. Very convenient location near airport. Great service and great breakfasts. I would definitly recommend this hotel to others, including travelling families. ... more

I was pleasantly surprised to find free robes, slippers, bottled water and complimentary long distance telephone and wired High-Speed Internet Access. Not to mention the "make your own waffles" continental breakfast!
