Saturday brunch here was awesome. We made our reservations 45 minutes before hand and I was really surprised that we were actually seated at the precise time. Our server Sue was really attentive and awesome. The food was delish and our the three mimosas hit the spot. We will definitely be back .
If you're into oysters on the half shell be sure to visit during happy hour. I've eaten brunch there twice and enjoyed the meal very much and the service staff were excellent.
Essex is located on the southeast corner of Essex and Rivington Streets in the historic Essex Street Market building, two blocks south of Houston Street and Avenue A (note that Avenue A turns into Essex Street south of Houston Street).
