The downtown location of the Ernest Tubb Record Shop can only benefit from its neighbor, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. But unlike the Museum, nothing about the legendary store is shiny or state-of-the-art. It's "old country." If it's in print, this store will have it in stock--but only if it's country or bluegrass. These box set are the best value if you are a true fan of country music. This is where it all began with live shows at midnight and it looks like you are back in the 1940s with the pictures on the wall. CDs are priced a little high,... more

Everything you could ask for in a music store. Rare cds are available and at decent prices. The store is very well laid out and organized. Lots of old items to look at as well.

PROS: Variety, clean organized
