Consistently Fantastic

I have been taking both of my dogs to Dr. Withers at Eola Point Animal Hospital since 2006 and have had nothing but stellar service. I have never, ever received poor treatment from Dr. Withers, Dr. Rybicki or the staff.

In fact, they go out of their way to ensure that all of my questions are answered, that I understand what my pets are being treated for and they always return my calls. And for those of you who have senior dogs, you understand how often you’re calling the vet.

Dr’s Withers and Rybicki are willing to work with you to come up with a treatment plant for your animals, they take the time to ask you what’s going on with your pet instead of simply examining them and they’ve even stayed late to examine our senior dog when she ate through her crate. Please do not allow the one negative review skew your view or prevent you from making an appointment at Eola Point Animal Hospital. I’ve found them to be kind, caring, knowledgeable and friendly. I’m hopeful you will as well.

The previous poster clearly had a situation she was unhappy with, however her post is incongruent throughout. In her singular post, she went from saying: “He was very helpful and prescribed a few medicines and a treatment plan” to saying he “had a huge ego”. From what she’s posted, it seems that she only saw Dr. Withers once and she was happy with the situation. The unfounded anger came when she got a letter asking her to find a new veterinarian, which one can only assume came from repeatedly calling the office and berating the staff.

Further, what this poster doesn’t realize is that Dr. Withers and Dr. Rybicki are married, which means they talk every day, which means the decision to ask this nut job to find a new vet was a joint decision.

My opinion? If you leave the veterinarian and medicate your dog without knowing EXACTLY what you are medicating with and for, you are an irresponsible pet owner, at best.

a compassionate place

I just read the awful review given to Dr. Withers and I was stunned. I have been bringing my pets here for years and they are compassionate, caring, awesome people, particularly Dr. Withers. He is kind and gentle and I would never go anywhere else.

Watch out for Dr. Withers! Huge ego!!

My experience started out much like everyone else's on this site. The staff was great. I saw Dr. Rybicki and she was also very knowledgeable and helpful. BEWARE...if you ask any sort of follow up questions regarding pricing or treatments, you will be sent a letter telling you to find a new vet.

For my first appointment, I called to get pricing for an office visit. When I came, the price was different so I double-checked the rate and it turned out that someone quoted me incorrectly over the phone. This wasn't a big deal and I had completely forgotten about it until I had another problem.

Over the course of the next two months, I spent over $450 at this office taking care of problems that came up with my new puppy. I was extremely satisfied, until I had to see Dr. Withers.

I saw Dr. Withers for an emergency visit. He was very helpful and prescribed a few medicines and a treatment plan. A few weeks later when we found out or puppy had giardia, I contacted the office to find out if that's what she had been treated for before or if he had treated something else. No one ever responded to any of my calls and two weeks later I received a letter in the mail with a copy of my records telling me to find a new vet where I would be happier. I figured there must have been some sort of mistake and called to clear up the confusion.

From that point on, the staff was extremely rude and said they they thought I would be happier elsewhere since I seem to have an issue with the way the vet treated my pet. I tried to explain I just had a question because I couldn't remember what my pet had been treated for and I hadn't been dissatisfied or anything, but it didn't matter. I never actually received any real reason, they just repeated the same b.s. excuses over and over that it was the doctor's decision. Dr. Withers refused to call me back (Dr. Rybicki was out on vacation) and had a random staff member call me to say to stop calling unless I needed any more copies of records. She also said that since I had a history of issues with the office that they were "done with me." Apparently the verifying of a price at the beginning pushed them over the edge.

I just CANNOT believe this is how they would handle their customers there. Apparently Dr. Withers has such an inflated ego that he gets offended by any sort of question and bans you from returning. DO NOT GO HERE! What kind of doctor does this? Especially after bringing in so much business. Isn't this what second opinions and questions are for? And I wasn't even questioning his treatment, just couldn't remember the disease he mentioned. WATCH OUT!
