I recently joined the Emerson House team in March of 2017, I say team with emphasis, because that is what we are here. Erin Jones, our administrator runs such a great team at Emerson House, in fact, that she was recently awarded the National Administrator of the Year award for 2017, she is the best Memory Care/Assisted Living administrator in the whole country. My previous community didn't have strong leadership, this made simple things challenging for our team...When I came to Emerson, I was shocked by how well things run.
The review from 2014 listed here was really sad to read, I can say, however, with much certainty that the tides have changed and what started that change was Erin Jones coming to Emerson to rehabilitate the community. I feel lucky to work with such an amazing team.
The Enron of Memory Care. Profit is the priority here PERIOD !!!! Once one of the premier memory care homes. since 2009 greed has made this place a pathetic shell of its former self. Life Enrichment CUT community room transformed in to cramped downstairs rooms that are as small as state regulations allow. Beauty salon basically a closet. Clients not properly screened by Melissa Fisher Moore.often endangering residents health and safety. Assaultive residents often attack fellow residents and the severely understaffed caregivers. Providence Elderplace has on a number of occasions removed its clients and refused to send new ones. Ask Kathryn Nash about their policy of leaving residents with 2-3 adult briefs on stewing in their own waste. Or how a resident drank a container of lye left in the kitchen and died and the ensuing legal entanglements to keep it out of the papers . Their website and amenities offered reflect the "old emerson house" not the current shell. If you care for your loved ones avoid this place at all costs
