The Absolute Worst of the Worst.

The Carne Asada meat in their tacos I doubt was EVER meant for human consumption. I advised the Manager of the situation and showed him the questionable and visibly disturbing 'meat.' He blamed the place they get the meat from, then said he'd tell the cook. But when I was not offered any type of resolution, I HAD to mention to him that maybe some compensation for the 2 tacos ($14 for JUST 2 tacos, no rice, no beans.) I accepted when ordering that the price was steep but would be worth it, if I had actually been served Carne Asada and not gristle. I would've settled for a meal that was simply edible. I'm NOT a picky eater and I RARELY complain. The Manager took the bill, left the table, never to return. But he did send the server to tell me that he refused to give me a discount on a valid complaint. Bad business practices and completely unprofessional. It was officially the worst dining experience I've had in my 38 years of life.**** GO TO SERRANO'S FOR MEXICAN FOOD!! ***

A lushly landscaped back patio with live music Friday and Saturday will make you forget you're in the desert. Try anything with the succulent shredded beef or the expertly grilled shrimp. Chile rellenos are good, too.

I tried this restaurant just last year. Since it was located in Downtown Chandler and me and my boyfriend were there for their Christmas festival, we decided to give it a try. El Zocalo has a great location and a terriffic atomsphere. The seating on the patio is recommended and you can enjoy live music on the weekends. Now let me get to the food, delicious!
