Excellent home cooked food
I visited El Nido repeatedly after completing pre-deployment training at Ft Bliss en route to Iraq for a year. This was during a particularly nasty and rainy time of year, so the comfort food I was raised on was a priority. Everything on the menu was good, and believe me, my buddies and I were facing a year plus wthout Mexican food. What can I say, the Cocido, Albondigas, green chile, red chile, burros, tacos, machaca, chimichangas, carne asada...... it was all good. I especially remember the soups, beans and enchiladas. We spent hours upon hours there, the staff was great, beer was icy cold and in bottles, Iced tea was fresh, I had no complaints.
