This Old World Italian restaurant looks like it`s right out of Prohibition: white tiled floors and the most stunning, dark wood bar that you`re likely to encounter. The food is not quite as graceful as the decor, but it is satisfying. On some nights, there`s even entertainment.

Visit Ecco and you`ll get a place that focuses on an Italian cuisine.

Italian pasta dishes like gnocchi and pappardelle are the vehicle for hearty sauces, while the old-fashioned atmosphere continues the homey vibe.

Excellent for classic Italian food with a focus on seafood--my favorite. The entrees are basic and classic--no fusion here--but tasty. Some desserts are homemade. Prices are a bit high, but worth it for the cozy Old World ambiance.

Pros

+ Large portions for entrees

Cons

- small portions for desserts

very good, simple italian

If you like experimental food, this is not the place for you. But if you want well prepared, tastey and traditional italian you will like Ecco. The chicken scarpariello is delicious. Skip the caesar salad though, have the pasta fagioli instead.

Pros

+ most everything

Cons

- the caesar salad is blah
