We walked around town and enjoyed the beautiful homes and shops along the way. There are many large homes, some of which are rented to vacationers. The sidewalks are impressive throughout the village. They seem to be new or nearly new. Landscaping of most homes is impressive. The lake is scenic.

This is a little bit of heaven on earth, very peaceful. Bed and Breakfast quaint shops and even a Sweet Shoppe for for and ICE CREAM ....... It is a must see.

"The town that time forgot" is an apt descriptor. Great museum, world class bookstore, wonderful sweet shop and period archaic true. Don't forget the stunning lake.

Eagles Mere is a mountain hamlet that has a rich history of being a quiet destination for the wealthy of NYC and Philadelphia. It retains that historic quality with beautiful summer "cottages", a pristine mountain lake and an idyllic mountain setting.

Eagles Mere Air and Auto Museums

These museums are amazing. The air museum has the largest collection of early flying planes on the East Coast. The auto museum is world class with a collection of about 70 magnificent cars, period toys, trains, etc. and the collection gets rotated so it is never stale.
