My neighbors hired them. I did not. While working on my neighbors' yard, they made a mess of a mulch bed that goes along the entire side of my back yard. Included in this mess were pieces of a chain link fence they took down and pieces of the vinyl fence they put up. What if one of my dogs got ahold of one of those pieces?
Additionally, portions of my mulch bed were covered in enough dirt and grass seed that grass was growing on top of my mulch. I asked one thing: that they not cover up their mess with mulch. Either clean (I.e. Remove) the mess or don't do anything at all. To "clean" my bed, they raked mulch from the front of my bed to the back of my bed to cover their mess. Now I'm stuck cleaning up their mess, putting down new weed block fabric to replace what they ripped up, and ordering/spreading new mulch. Their work has cost me my time, money, and energy,
