Visiting the western heritage museum is like taking a trip into the days when train travel was the way to go. Little kids won't have as much interest in this museum. A full-size train is great to explore and lots of interesting, local history exhibits. Boasts weekend art shows often and wonderful traveling exhibits.

Should be called "Omaha" Heritage Museum. Beautiful building and atractive display drew us in, but not very interactive. Lots of look but don't touch. We are a young couple who have been to other western heritage/history museums and found them much more enjoyable. This museum is mostly about Omaha. Rather boring, and not worth the 7 dollars/each we paid to...
