Truly an institution since 1892—and the first pub to put Sam Adams on tap—this friendly, crowded neighborhood Irish pub has become a Boston political landmark. Candidates for offices from Boston City Council to U.S. Senate drop by to eat corned beef and cabbage, sample from 30 tap brews or 60 single-malt scotches, and speechify and "press the flesh." There are non-Irish noshes, too: trout...

This Jamaica Plain institution has been around since 1882. During their infamous Senate battle, John Kerry and William Weld shared a beer here, as has every major pol for decades on end. And why not? There are 29 drafts available. The food… Read More

Open since 1882, this "charming" Jamaica Plain "legend" is "full of history", with a 19th-century bar, WPA-commissioned historical murals and floor-to-ceiling ephemera; "beer is their thing" – look for hard-to-find drafts from the nearby Sam Adams brewery – but the pub grub and "inviting atmosphere" are also "tasty."

Doyle's Cafe Restaurant Review

This Jamaica Plain institution has attracted politicians since its opening back in 1882. During their infamous Senate battle, John Kerry and William Weld shared a beer here, as has every major pol for decades on end. And why not? There are more than 20 drafts available on tap and even more by the bottle. The food is run-of-the-mill tavern fare although a few things have been updated for the...

A neighborhood landmark since 1882, and the spot where almost every politician smiles over a pint come campaign time.

This is a quintessential Boston pub, traditional style with lots of townies. You'll find plenty of conversations around Boston sports and politics.
The service is fast and very informal. Plenty of humor throughout.
The food is mostly sandwiches and burgers. My Reuben featured corned beef cut with the grain, making it very chewy.
The beer selection is wide ranging but common larger craft...

Loud, old and fun. Nice atmosphere for a brew and a burger. Best place to go before or after the Sam Adams brewery tour. Free shuttles to brewery.

Just a fun place to visit with great food and service

We stopped here with friends after a tour of the Samuel Adam's Brewery down the street. We expected the corned beef sandwiches to be hot, but were disappointed to find that they were cold. The German Plate was tasty with different sausages and sauerkraut. We liked the sweet potato fries better than the French fries.

Doules Cafe is located at 3484 Washington St in Boston and has been in the business of Retail - Cafe since 2008.

Regulary recognized as Boston's best bar and restaurant, Doyle's offers and unmatched mix of good food, good talk and good people. Doyle's is host to one of New England's largest selections of draft beer. The mahogany bar dates back over 125 years to 1882.

This landmark Boston watering hole is the place to go when you feel like a pint of Guinness, a burger and fries, or a glimpse at the mayor, a congressman, or a city councilor. For Sunday brunch, show up early or keep your party small, because the wait can be brutal. Then again, they do serve mimosas and bloody Marys at the bar.
