Downtown Books is quite a store. To give a picture of it, Id describe it as a bunch of apartments converted into a bookstore is a way that only a regular to the store can understand. Books typically are about 30% of the cover price, although this varies a great deal in some areas. It is the perfect place to spend an afternoon or evening there.

I absolutely love this place. They have every genre of reading you may be looking for. They have so many books that sometimes you'll even find multiples of the same. They also carry some old magazines, which is a plus for me since I collect LIFE magazine. Prices are extremely reasonable. Don't be afraid to ask for help, as the shelves go very high up.

This store is filled to the brim with used books. You can literally search here consecutive days and always find something interesting. The prices are standard for used books and the staff treats it like a library, so you're allowed to peruse the aisled in peace. Ask for help with a ladder to obtain the hidden gems up high. Enjoy.
