Dodd Mitchell designed it. Ashton Kutcher (and about half the cast of "That 70's Show") owns it. And even after the hoopla died down, it's still a scene.
Although it promotes itself as a bastion of Italian peasant cuisine, Dolce is not a dining spot for the commonfolk. With more than a dozen celebrity investors, the restaurant still draws enough celebs that most...

This sleek Italian restaurant is the quintessential celeb hot spot.
Tips About This Business
Ask for a table near a booth or on the patio. The tables in front of the small bar get too crowded with onlookers.
A DJ spins lounge-y, ambient music starting at 10pm.
You don't need to spend a bundle to make this super-trendy scene. Head there on Monday and get half off on the food menu.
Editorial Reviews from the web
Before SBE took over the L.A. night-and-dine scene, Dolce Group reigned supreme. After all, with the likes of Geisha House, Les Deux , Ketchup and this enoteca (the first of their restaurant ventures), it's easy to see why. But even though times have changed, there is still that never-ending flow of Angelenos and their out-of-town cousins who simply can't resist this spot for its celeb...

First-courses include calamari, and shrimp and zucchini fried in a crisp garbanzo-flour coating. For entrees, there...

Are we being punk'd? Ashton Kutcher pulls off a refined addition to L.A. dining in between serious hours devoted to finding his car. A@s-kicking Medi-Cali fare exemplified by risotto and prime rib. Wine dining. Dodd Mitchell design brings random star spottings. Generous bar is totally metal the way it shoots fire; we crossed our fingers it would then spit blood and cuss us out. Engage the...

Our group of six had a horrible experience last Friday at Dolce.
We arrived within few minutes of our friends and were received rudely by the Manager Maurizio , who had no clue that the rest of our party was already at the bar. I will not waste my time describing his mannerism and body language, the man clearly has no class.
After being seated I found out while waiting at the bar, one of our...

while dolce is known for being a seen and be seen restaurant because of its amazing atmosphere and clientele, the reason people keep coming back is most definitely for the food. I have been here a few times and never had a meal that did not meet and often surpass my expectations! right now, i'm loving the pumpkin ravioli. it is the PERFECT meal for this time of year...warms you up without...

I loved being seated outside. It's not totally outside, but there's that nice CA breeze and sun to enjoy.
Had the hamachi special. Great flavor with the olives and tomatoes. My friends had the steak and the fruitti de mar, which was great too.
Ben, the sommelier, was really nice. I didn't even ask to see him, but the moment I opened the menu, he was there to see if I needed any suggestions.
