Off the Tee
The Divide, opened in 1999, is a new entry into the golfing Mecca Denver has become. Already, the Divide has established a position as one of the best new courses. Open, links are set in high mountain meadows (7400 feet). A narrow creek with adjacent wildlife habitat weaves its way through the front nine. This high-plains, prairie-style course is a tremendous challenge from the blue tees, and it features views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains from nearly every point on the course. Best birdie chance

No. 13, par 4. Reward: Only 273 yards from the forward tees (331 yards from the tips) the hole is driveable or at the very least, sets up a short chip and putt. Risk: Tight landing area, false front bunkering and a green that slopes slightly away.

No. 2, par 3. Plays from 113 to 207 yards. Requires a carry over the wildlife habitat to green framed by two sand bunkers. Tree line on hillside backdrops the hole.
