Open, links are set in high mountain meadows (7400 feet). A narrow creek with adjacent wildlife habitat weaves its way through the front nine. This high-plains, prairie-style course is a tremendous challenge from the blue tees, and it features views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains from nearly every point on the course. No. 13, par 4. Reward: Only 273 yards from the forward tees (331 yards from the tips) the hole is driveable or at the very least, sets up a short chip and putt. Risk: Tight landing area, false front bunkering and a green that slopes slightly away.
No. 2, par 3. Plays from 113 to 207 yards. Requires a carry over the wildlife habitat to green framed by two sand bunkers. Tree line on hillside backdrops the hole.
