I agree with Marie B. When I first moved to Seattle they used to tie a barrel to your car if your time had expired and you had to pay to get it removed. Hence people drove around with saws in their cars. They haven't changed much. Now they charge outrageous fines and often it is not obvious why you might incur one in their lots since signage is either missing or obscure.
