Best known for being the oldest steakhouse in Akron. Serving the Best steaks and seafood. All steaks are hand cut and seafood is flown in fresh, this is an upscale steakhouse. The restaurant prepares and serves an American cuisine where people frequently get seafood and steaks. Expect the average entrée to cost between $20 and $30, and you`ll be fine if dressed casual, but fashionable.

With steaks being a specialty for which this restaurant has won renown, many other dishes are also offered, as well as a full bar; reservations are preferred and recommended.

It's easy to imagine a gaggle of heavyset, cigar-chomping underworld figures hunkered over dry martinis and enormous steaks at this downtown Akron institution, but even today's suburbanite will enjoy the juicy steaks, chops, and seafood that make up Diamond Grille's simple, timeless menu. And for dessert, there is homemade ice cream from another Akron culinary cornerstone, Mary Coyle's.

This is a very over rated restaurant in the akron area. From the phone call for the reservation to the plastic wrapper in my food, it was a bad experience. It may have had it's day once, but it's comparable in taste to an Outback or Roadhouse. Over priced for what you get. The decor has not been updated in years, a bit dirty looking.
