We stopped here on our way out of New Orleans. We arrived just in time for the 10.30 tour, which only had about 10people on it. Our tour guide Beverly was wonderful. I'm not much of a history buff but really enjoyed the Plantation.
Our tour guide was excellent, the grounds and buildings are beautiful and they even had a life demonstration going on.
Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

I learnt a great deal about the history of NOLA and the Destrehan plantation through our lovely guide Candace. Not only was she detailed in the history, she was also very interactive with her questions and answers and made it fun for all ages of our group from as young as 6.
