Business Description from the Web
Incomparable people-watching is a mainstay at the Rose Bar where, appropriately enough, pink-tinted lighting lets guests view each other through the proverbial rose-colored glasses. This unique touch flatters the appearance-conscious clientele – not that anyone in the dewy-faced bunch needs it! Lounge music sets the groove as international beauties and Hollywood types sip Cosmopolitans and...

Editorial Reviews from the web
In Short South Beach's undisputed destination for celebrities and those who want to be them, this towering art deco compound was transformed into a surreal retreat by quirky star designer Philippe Starck back in 1995--and it's still hauter than ever. The 250-foot-long lobby corridor is like an entryway to a fantasy world of stealth wealth, where sheer white drapes sway from the...

In Short Hotel guests typically include an assortment of models, fashion photographers, musicians, actors and other beautiful people. The public beach behind the hotel isn't restricted to the Delano's guests, nor is the well-stocked bar by the pool. The emphasis on illusion and aesthetics extends to the water perpetually cascading over its rim as well as to the exceptionally...

In Short Located in the smart, yet minimalist, lobby of the Ian Schrager-owned Delano Hotel, the Rose Bar pours out top-dollar martinis to a well-heeled crowd thirsty for an excess of glitz and glamour. Surrounded by overstuffed chairs and floor-to-ceiling drapes, you'll be viewing life through rose-colored glasses in Philippe Starck's ode to "Alice in Wonderland." The bar draws the...

I have been here 4 times and each time it's gotten a bit better. The first time was awful so that isn't saying a lot! I agree with the last review..Prices are reasonable for food and excellent service but the drinks are overpriced. Crowd was very mixed, mostly late 20's to early 30's. The space is quite impressive and its always fun to check out the rest of the hotel on a nice buzz from the booze.

Being from L.A., it's not easy for a hotel to impress me. But I have to say, none of them compare to the Delano. I absolutely love this place! Every time I'm in Miami, you can find me here. One of the main reasons is that I simply love the decor -- I'm a huge Philippe Starck fan and the design in this place is so quirky, so eclectic, it's design heaven! From the big bear bench in the lobby and...
