The Scene No detail is spared, from the 1930s art-deco interior to the crackling fireplace flanked by luxurious palms. There was limited parking around the hotel and no hotel parking lot. You had to go with valet...and it was a $20 charge. Should have been informed of parking fees or it should have been included in hotel charges. ... more

We recently spent a weekend in San Jose and made arrangements to try the Hotel De Anza after reading reviews here. It is a LOVELY grand dame in downtown San Jose. Originally built in the 1930's and lovingly restored in the 1990's. Valet parking, friendly and efficient staff at check in, clean and nicely appointed rooms. They served warm cookies... more

Convenient but noisy

Just returned from a trip to San Jose. While this hotel is close to the downtown business district, it is also on the flight path to the airport. In addition, a new building is being constructed next door to the hotel. Hence, the rooms can be very noisy. Not worth the price at at this time.
