We found this place via tripadvisor but the place is now called Pier Blue. We were driving through the area and just stayed one night. It seems it has gotten a makeover cause we found the place simple, nice and clean.
Friendly staff and basic breakfast.

We stayed there because we had a family wedding to go to in the area. We arrived on Saturday afternoon. The wedding was Sunday.We left our room about 10 AM Sun. so that it could be cleaned. Bonjour, je reviens d'un séjour d'une nuit et je dois dire que c'est dispendieux 130 $ pour la dureté des matelas. C'est vraiment très dur et c'est difficile de bien dormir. The rooms and facilities at the Days Inn Old Saybrook were rather dated. The rooms could do with a refresh soon. Things that should be white were yellowed. The upstairs ice machine was not working. Though it wasn't a big deal to use the one downstairs, had the weather been bad, it would have been more troublesome.
