The 2,700 seat concert hall, home to the San Francisco Symphony , was built in 1980 and displays a blend of modern and traditional design. The part kids may most appreciate are the tall floor-to-ceiling glass windows that offer a great vantage point on the Civic Center area. Another great feature: Seats are so well-positioned that even the little people have a good view of the action on stage.

i recently went to see Ellen Degeneres here. it wasnt the orchestra, but i was blown away by the impressive acoutics and decor on the inside. the chairs were comfortable and normal size (a little squished between people if you are of average or above average size). but it is a beautiful hall.
