I love this place! The service is always friendly, although a bit slow at sometimes in the afternoon. It's a coffee shop and bar, which is cool because you get the best of both worlds. It's a neighborhood coffee shop in the afternoon and super rad local bar at night. They always have one beer on tap that changes monthly, and an insane selection of bottles. Dubuque needs more places like this, it's pretty much a beer wasteland. Basically this is a coffee shop in an old house, very bohemian/counterculture vibe, but relaxed and friendly at the same time. Dark painted walls, funky art, old wooden plank floors, a bed with pillows (Bedouin/Moroccan style seating?), and a setup for live music towards the back. The bar itself seated maybe 8 or so....

This is sort of a strange combination of Coffee house and beer bar, almost like they took a very typical Independent style coffee house and crammed a bar right through it. Very strange atmosphere with everyone pleasant, but a touch standoffish to non regulars.
The service was ok, the bartender was very friendly and rushed to help up, but at the same time we had to ask for glasses for bottles...
