Established in the year 1892, Daley's Restaurant is one of the oldest restaurant in Chicago. Handed over from one generation to the next, the eatery has carved a niche for itself. The original owner of Daley's Restaurant was John Daley. He was a young Irish iron worker who came to the USA to work on the construction of the elevated line. The service was warm and friendly, the food was great. We fed a family of four for $30 or so. The portions were hardy and I love the fact that they offered butter and not that gross shortening. Friendly service, good prices and great food. Even when restaurant was crowded, waitress treated as if you were her only customer. Big portions, friendly people and a great Chicago landmark.
