I went in for the big cut. The charged me a $50 deposit beforehand, of course, and hacked off my hair, slapped on some curly pudding and buttercream something and called it $300 (inlcuding tip). This was the biggest waste of money. Don't buy into the hype. I have since worked with my own natural hair by using cholesterol cream conditioner or the olive oil conditioner you buy in duane reade...

My experience at Miss Jessie's salon was that of mixed feelings. It was a gift from my sister who stated she wanted to go to the salon to get her hair done and she paid the deposit ($75) for me to go with her.
