I ate quite often at Curry House in college and was always impressed by the service, the portions, and the helpful friendly atmospher. This was the one on Sawtelle. I've been to the one in South Bay and remembered they were very good at accomodating our group of 12. This one in Downtown doesn't seem like its service is up to par with the other two.

The service is very prompt and always there to asisst you with your re-fills..etc. The Japanese curry is pretty tasty. The food comes out pretty quick. The prices are okay. The setting is pretty loud and small, it depends on the type of person you are and if you like this.
I was first introduced to Japanese curry at this location back in 1998. I was floored. There's a cool bookstore across the way and a little market downstairs to explore. I've been to just about every Curry House in California and I will always have a special place in my heart for this one in Japantown.
