My Culligan water softner experience started off with 4 calls back and forth between myself and the receptionist. First I was told the salesman would be out first thing in the morning. I called when no one showed up and I was told a salesmen would be out in an hour - no one showed. I called again and then I was told late morning and nobody showed. Low clarity around the contracts you are signing/what the actual monthly fee will be. Get in you with a good deal on the first month, and when the prices goes up after month one you have signed a one year contract and cant break it without a $100 termination fee. I had signed up for the premium package for the past 6 years (over $200/yr) with the only benefit was that they delivered salt. Supposedly, they would fix my unit if there was a problem, I'm sure at a cost, but fix it nonetheless.
