What the community has to say about Crumpet Shop

Information about this business (3)

Established in 1907 to connect citizens and farmers, the Market continues its “Meet the Producer” tradition with a year-round farmers market, crafts, owner-operated bakeries, fish markets, butcher shops, produce stands and specialty food stores.

The Crumpet Shop has operated from its Pike Place-adjacent location since 1976, a dedicated family operation that still produces some of Seattle's best crumpets day after day. Robin Lasater has taken over for his parents at this Seattle institution, still making the shop's signature crumpets by hand every day. These tasty morsels are offered either plain or topped with a number of gourmet...

Apparently, crumpets aren't my thing

The toppings were yummy and the service was very friendly, but it was my first experience with crumpets and I was not a fan.

This is a different slant on a cup of tea and a hot buttered crumpet. Instead, a good variety of toppings, sweet and savory and a pretty good cup of coffee.
Friendly service, not obsessed with style, more a place of substance.
BUT - if you are after breakfast - go early.

Great place to stop and hangout

This was so charming. The crumpets and milk scones were great. That lemon curd is to die for! Loved it!!!!

It's fine but I don't understand the fuss

SERVICE: Service is OK, but then this is not about service. You order at the counter then return to collect once your name is called, so there is no service per-se.
FOOD: Good choice of options and the crumpets are well made. We had 4 options between the two of us and we are struggling to see what is so...

An old Pike Place Market favorite

The Crumpet shop is very well known among Seattle locals. Their Crumpets are made on site from scratch and it is beyond any standard expectations. ANY of their crumpet offerings are delicious, you can't go wrong, guaranteed, in particular for breakfast with a great cup of coffee from the market.
