Mexican breakfasts, chicken-cilantro soup, and hearty sandwiches are among the draws at this Joshua Tree institution for pre-hike breakfasts, birthday lunches, and early dinners. With its stained-wood bar and black-and-white photos of the national park, the remodeled wooden interior still feels like it's been around for ages. Taxidermied animals and beer-can lights hint at the community's...

Inside: Crossroads Cafe

Nestled between a quaint health food store and a small Native American art gallery, Joshua Tree’s Crossroad’s Café and Tavern is the perfect place to burn away an afternoon.  If you’re weary from a day of hiking or rock climbing at ‘the tree,’ Crossroads is your place to refuel while feasting on some delicious--and healthy--grub.

Neat little cafe in JT. It is a unique spot with good food and service. You can’t go wrong with the breakfast burrito!

Bumper breakfast and worth the wait

A very busy cafe in Joshua Tree but they quickly worked through the queue and got everyone seated and eat-ed.
The pancakes and French toast was delicious and will keep you going all the way to dinner.

The food was excellent- ate brunch here and all the selections chosen were top-notch. Had some tacos (very yummy) and salad (also very good). There was a short wait, particularly for bigger parties. The place was hopping when I was there and didn't let up....

We were here for Sunday brunch and got seated quickly although there seemed to be a bit of a wait for groups bigger than two. Our server was very friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. Menu had lots of vegan and healthy options...

Business description (3)

Crossroads Cafe & Tavern can be found at 29 Palms Hwy 61715. The following is offered: Bars & Pubs. The entry is present with us since Sep 9, 2010 and was last updated on Nov 14, 2013. In Joshua Tree there are 1 other Bars & Pubs. An overview can be found here.

A unique decor matches the galvanized steel facade of the Crossroads Cafe. A saloon or tavern-like setting is achieved with an interesting array of nicnacs and antiques, an eclectic selection of chairs and tables, and unfinished wood on the walls and bar. Open for breafast, lunch and dinner, classic American dishes with a Californian twist are served, such as the tempeh Reuben sandwich.

Crossroads' menu has something for everybody - Meat lovers rave about the signature Crossroads burger; vegetarians have the stacked Tempeh Reuben; and kids enjoy the peanut butter-honey-banana sandwich or grilled cheese. The atmosphere is funky and fun, and you can always hear about the next musical event or good rock climbing story.
