When we booked the trip, I asked about weather considerations, and was told that if it was one of those unusually rainy days in CB, we would not be held financially responsible. I booked far in advance since I was told there were few spots left. However, when it was pouring rain that morning, the trip went ahead and we were told they hired the second guide just for us, and charged us. Don't...

AVY 1 course was excellent!!! I would definitely recommend the hut course to get more field time and real backcountry experience. Jayson was a top-notch instructor and CBMG is a professional guiding company.

I took my Avy 1 class with CBMG - HIGHLY recommended. The instruction was top notch, and the terrain out the back door is world class. If you're looking for a place to take a backcountry class, or just want to ski the goods, these guys (and girls) are the best.
