Highly recommend! Love the location in downtown Ferndale and the traditional charm the office holds. Dr. Crane was exceptionally helpful in figuring out what type of contacts would best fit my needs. The staff was also pleasant and helpful. I'm just bummed I couldn't find a frame that suited my style especially because the frames were very affordable.

Great spot. Glad I finally found a local eye doctor that knows what they are doing! Very professional, efficient and open with me about what I can afford with my insurance.

Ive found Dr. Crane's office staff to be very accommodating and easy to work with. Online appointment requests are ideal, and it's helpful that there are evening and weekend appointment options.

We have been caring for individuals and families in Oakland,Wayne, and Macomb counties since 1949 and we're one of the longest standing operations in the community.Our practice was established by Dr. Leonard Crane, Dr. Howard Crane's father in downtown Ferndale and has remained in the same location ever since. Dr. Howard Crane joined the practice in 1972, and for the past six decades Crane Optical has provided exceptional eye care to tons of thousands of happy patients.In addition to caring for healthy eyes, Crane Optical offers a wide selection of brand name frames, contact lenses, and quality lenses. Minor medical treatment along with pre and post-op services for eye laser and cataract surgery are also provided services.
