I've been seeing Dr. Matthes for about 10 years, first for an arthritic knee and now for a painful hip. He doesn't rush to surgery, but first explores other treatments. He did a total knee replacement for me after a couple of years of cortisone shots. He replaced my knee in 2008 and I haven't had any problems with it. It healed fast and wish I had had it done sooner.
