My family and I have been eating here for many years! There are a few very good fast food Mexican restaurants in Santee, but if you want the original and standard very good food...Go to Cotijas! All thye basics done well!!!!

Everything on Menu is delicious. Great carne asada and rolled tacos. Best hot carrots around and they are in the lobby for free. Would eat here every day if I lived in the area.

Another great taco shop in southern California. Can't go wrong with this place! I very much enjoyed the food and will definitely be back. It's right next to Mary's Donuts too, so you have a winning combination there!

What SoCal mexican is all about

Growing up in SoCal I had a lot of options for good Mexican food. This is the kind of place that started it all. A small shop with a few employees cranking out good Mexican food. The rolled tacos are just right and don't miss out on the hash brown burrito. It's good for breakfast lunch or dinner!

My wife and I took our family here when they arrived from a 12 hour drive. We ordered a few burritos and tortas. The torts were big, however they were all soaked in juice and couldn't be picked up to be eaten. The food wasn't bad but I felt that they were under seasoned. I feel that the burritos were...

Cotijas Taco Shops can be seen around the county. The menu includes all your favorite Mexican dishes, including menudo and it's nicely decorated inside to give you the feeling you've traveled 100 miles south. It's a fun place, and the food is delicious.
