Opened in 1957, this course is mostly for the locals -- and visitors -- who just can't bear to leave the "island" of Coronado. It's an 18-hole, par-72 course with distractingly beautiful views of San Diego Bay, the Coronado Bridge, and the downtown skyline beyond; there are also a coffee shop, pro shop, and driving range. This is a really nice municipal course you cannot beat the price ($15 for twilight after 2:00 yes for 18 holes!) the course is flat and very fair, you won't lose any balls and you see the bay on 6-8 of the holes. It is a late 1950,s golf course with several holes along the beach. This was my 23rd time to play the course and I will be back next year.
