I was in town for a few days and had been seeing the Corner Bakery a lot and wanted to try it. On my way to the train the day I left I though I would stop by for some lunch before my flight. it's fine food for a quick bite, although i was disappointed with my cafe au lait when the server gave me half a cup of steamed milk to top off with regular house coffee from the outside. the coffee was very watered-down and it tasted bland.

This is a great chain of bakeries. It is part of the Lettuce Entertain You group, which is responsible for some of the best casual dining in Chicago. Corner Bakery offer pannini sandwiches, salads, pizzas, pastas, cakes, muffins, cookies and all kinds of good stuff like that. Everything is at least pretty darn good here.
