A Fifth Avenue address is always a signifier of class and substance. At Cornelia Day Resort, all levels of therapies, from facials to full-body massages, are offered, as well as the Blue Lagoon service, which uses geothermal seawater found only in Iceland and which they have uniquely licensed to bring to boutique-obsessed locals.

horrible customer service

We had an awful experience. The customer service was unhelpful. We were misled and were not informed of policy. I had spoken to the same person no less than six times regarding my appts. We knew there was a chance of bad weather. At no point was I told that i would be charged if we were late. I called from the road and was told no problem this is Cornelia!! Well there was a problem and it was not handled profesionally or with any courtesey. After having driven no less than three hours! We left without anything and with a terrible feeling of being scammed. Would never send anyone there.

i have been to cornelia on a few occasions and the spa is lovely. the locker room and amenities are wonderful, the relaxtion room is fabulous (especially if your appointment is after 3:00 pm and you get free champagne) and my treatments have always been top-notch. the last time i was at cornelia, however, i had an awful experience with the front desk staff when being checked in. i told the woman at the front desk my and my friend's name and she rudely told me "you're very late to your appointments, i've been calling you for an hour." i calmly suggested that maybe she had the wrong name, as...

Worst Customer Service Ever Experienced

WARNING- rude and lazy customer service. I cancelled an appointment at the spa and yet a charge showed up on my credit card. When I called to complain, the manager told me that although her records showed that I had clearly cancelled my appointment days before the date, it also said that I had called back a few days later and made an appointment for a person that I had never even heard of! They used my credit card to pay for this person's service. When I pointed out that I had never heard of this person and that it was clearly a mistake on their end, she was extremely rude and would not...

Nice-- not best spa in the world, however

I'd read a lot of glowing press on this spa and had very high expectations going in. I was in NYC for business and decided to take half a day off and enjoy a spa and some shopping. Locker Room, amenities: Very nice. Like the labels with your name instead of numbers, and liked not having to carry a key around. Showers were great, and they had a variety of products available for you to use if you wanted to blowdry your hair, etc. The steam room, however, was not working... it looked as if it had been shut down by the city. I don't want to speculate as to why, and the attendant indicated they...

Head to the relaxation library between treatments, where you can cuddle up under a cashmere wrap with a glass of champagne and a good book.
