Information about this business (4)

The cuisine at Copper is contemporary. Restaurateur Aparappar Singh Pannu and chef Mel Oza have developed a menu that incorporates traditional flavors and culinary techniques of classic Indian cuisine and have given it all a nouveau twist.

At 311 East Boulevard sits the Mayer House of Southend, a turn-of-the-century bungalow rich in local and national history. The house is where you will find our restaurant, Copper Modern Indian Cuisine. Meticulously updated and stylized with modern interpretation of Indian artistic flair, the Mayer House is the perfect backdrop for our presentation of Indian haute cuisine.

Here at Copper, you...

100% Indian food, but with a contemporary twist...The menu is divided into modern, traditional and epicurean. The focus is on very high quality level, visually enticing dishes that encompass a wide variety of flavors and regional tastes of India. The menu is spiced flavorfully rather than with too much curry or pepper. The goal in the traditional section is to break away from the well known...

"Terrific", "inventive" subcontinental dishes enhanced by "great presentation" plus a setting in an "old Victorian" house in Dilworth signal that this is "not your run-of-the-mill Indian" spot; prices may be a "splurge" for the genre, but they're "worth" it, and though a few cite service "inconsistencies", most feel that "Copper is gold."

An aroma fills the air just outside the front door of this historic home. Enchanting spices extrude from this upscale Indian restaurant where eating with your fingers is a no no. Those longing for the traditional find peace with the tikka masala or saag paneer. The more adventurous go for the twisted modern takes on salmon, sea bass, duck, lamb, and chicken. Copper delivers fancy quality Indian food with some twists. I love authentic straightforward Indian food but do like the upscale nature of Copper. Don't expect the usual. And the setting is lovely in an old house.

This was one of the top ten meals I've had in my entire life and I'm old and have travelled a lot so that is saying something. Plus I grew up in England so Indian food is very familiar to me. I had the lamb chops don't miss them!

My wife and I highly enjoyed Copper for Valentines Day. Copper is located in an old remodeled home in the greater Dilworth area. This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had! It's a little pricey, but well worth the cost for a special occasion.

The food was good, but not good enough to overcome a one hour wait between the appetizer and the main course. The waiters

We dined at Copper for the first time in quite a while. We had gotten into the habit of going to Copper's sister restaurant Blue Taj. Our dinner was on a Friday night. My wife got her go-to Indian dish (although I guess it's not really Indian) chicken tikka masala. It was excellent. I ventured toward a less traditional dish, lamb chops, Kashmiri style, with mushrooms and spinach. The spinach...
