A game-changer in the world of Portland artisan ice cream. Eva Bernhard, a native of Eugene, Oregon, has been making artisan ice cream in PDX since 2007. Fave flave: buttermilk marionberry.

Cool Moon Ice Cream Restaurant Review

After a pleasant romp through the urban Jamison Square Park across the street, enjoy a cone or shake at this adventurous frozen dessert shop with deep roots in Oregon. You'll find scoop standards such as vanilla and chocolate but there are also unusual flavors. Depending on the season, flavors can range from Bing Cherry Almond Chip, Buttermilk Marionberry Swirl, Ginger Cookies and Cream, and...

Pearl District ice cream shop tempts with seasonal flavors.

From its post across the street from Jamison Square, this peppy, artisan ice cream parlor has become a hotspot for moms and tots on play dates and condo-dwelling couples who’ve stepped out of their...

I enjoyed scoops of the marionberry, chocolate, and thai iced tea. I loved the flavors. It was the first time I had marionberry and it was fruity without being overpowering. The sorbet was chocolatey sweet. I loved the thai iced tea because it tasted exactly as I would expect. I also loved that I could order a small scoop. Definitely a great place for ice cream.

Save Money: Pre-packed happy hour pints are just $4 from 4 to 6pm every day. You’ll have to settle for a limited selection of flavors but then you’ll score a pint suited for sharing at a wallet-friendly price.

Know Before You Go: Non-fat, sugar-free or otherwise special ice creams don’t work with the parlor's recipes. If you want a healthy or vegan treat, head elsewhere or settle for the low-fat, animal product-free sorbets.
