All openings experience delays, but this bistro had been five years in the making, and included converting a 100-year-old home into a 28-seat restaurant. After years of waiting, locals celebrated the opening of this rustic yet elegant bistro. Serves local wine (including their own, of course) and French-influenced local food by executive chef and Cordon Bleu alum Arie Pavlou. Get a taste of...

I don't get it

We went here much anticipated for my birthday. The service was poor. They left our bottle of wine on the next table for ten minutes and then someone else thought to bring a corkscrew to open and serve it.

This place is adorable. It is in a Victorian home from the 1800's. The staff - Addie & Chris are what make this place so special. Come hang out and do a wine tasting with people who will make you feel like a long lost family member or friend. Stay for lunch or a yummy dinner and check out the...

Their own wines are on the menu and they are very good. Were served a free snails with garlic butter as a courtesy of booking through our B&B, Blue Iris. Really delicious. One...

Our party of five was seated in a nice room and our server was very friendly. The wine selection was limited to their own winery and acceptable. The food was very good however, I would skip the deserts as they were average as best.

Business description (2)

The only Long Island vineyard with a restaurant, serving local North Fork duck, seafood and farm stand vegetables, and our own herbs, served with our own wines from our 20 acre vineyard. Chef Aristodemos Pavlou is a graduate of the L'Ecole Cordon Bleu in Paris. Elegant setting in an 1835 restored rectory, filled with antiques.

The only Long Island vineyard with a restaurant, Comtesse Thérèse Bistro is located in a restored 1830's building on Main Road in Aquebogue with enchanting history, beauty and craftsmanship.Inspired by the small, family-run restaurants in the wine regions of France and Italy, the 28-seat Comtesse Thérèse Bistro is located in a building originally constructed in 1830 as a rectory for the...
